The Sturgis High School Advocacy Group has learned how to communicate their disabilities to those around them in a non-aggressive manner .  They also strive to inform the community, both local and national, about disabilities and the disabled persons need to be accepted as an equal.   It was our teachers' firm belief that before a disabled person could be successful in life they must first be able to advocate for themselves successfully.
